Writer/Journalist

Morgan LibraryThis character has had an exceptional amount of fun writing stories for magazines. They have ranged widely in scope – from full-length features to simple vignettes – and also in focus. Travel, profiles, humor, essays, editorial notes, impressions – I have been grateful to have the places to publish the subjects that were important to me and to my magazines.

What magazine writing is all about is compression. One never has an unlimited length in magazines – except in the very rarest of cases – and making words count and tell is the true challenge. Well-edited stories have their own compelling rhythm; at their best they will simply not let the reader put them down.

Here are some stories quite literally from different places that I hope both illustrate and demonstrate what is above. MORE
